My presentation focused on the importance of centering composition courses with narrative forms, and how beginning the semester with self-reflective genres such as memoir writing help to ground students and build a community of writers, while establishing a foundation of writing practice and narrative inquiry that can be implemented across all writing genres and disciplines.
